About the Project
The journey of the Treasure Island Kitchen project began with a simple yet ambitious goal: to evoke the tranquil vibe of coastal living while maximizing functional space and storage. The clients were sent our way by a coworker who we’d done work for in the past. They loved our process and the project management software we use to get the job done, and selected us to bring their vision to life!
We embarked on a comprehensive kitchen renovation, removing two walls to open up the space and strategically blocking in a large window to allow for a redesigned layout. The result? A dream kitchen that not only feels more expansive and airy but also seamlessly blends with the rest of the home.
Stand Out Features
For this project, we made every decision with both practicality and looks in mind. However, one of our favorite kitchen features is undoubtedly the bar overlooking the water—a serene spot to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking views while basking in the natural light. We can just picture the client utilizing that space on repeat- from a slow morning sipping coffee to a stunning view serving as work time inspiration!
We also made a conscious effort to utilize every inch of wall space, ensuring that even the shallowest areas served a functional purpose. From drop zones to custom kitchen cabinets by sliding glass doors, no space was left unused or awkwardly empty. That’s the beauty of custom home remodeling- you can make sure every design element really serves the space!
Unique Custom Kitchen Remodeling Touches
One unique feature that stands out is the specially designed dog bowl area, serving as both a convenient space for pets and a key drop zone for homeowners entering the home. Pet zones are one of those things that, if you don’t plan for them, often end up getting in the way of daily life. Designing this much-needed element into the kitchen space not only gets it out of the way but also helps serve the functionality of the room!
